I was born and raised in Poland. Later I moved to the UK to escape the “communist regime” and found a greater freedom to attend art classes, but motherhood and family life prevented me from continuing my art journey.
On an early retirement I moved to Australia, where I completed an art foundation course with the renowned Australian artist David Chen BAFA and I was able to devote more time to my artistic, journey. I started to paint in acrylics, then moved onto oil as my main medium, painting landscapes, seascapes, mixed media art and abstracts.
Currently, I have returned to my beloved UK and continue my art journey, working in my own studio in Egham, Surrey.
I am using my own reference photographs and precious memories from the countries I have lived in. My art is about feelings and emotions which I deeply hold inside.
Influenced by French Impressionist artists, I use parts of their approach in a contemporary way to experiment with my style, focusing to tell a visual story, but the same time trying to change the picture as much as possible while still maintaining a realistic image.
I love to use bold brushstrokes, applying texture, movement, and spontaneous shapes, just letting the story of the painting show through.
I love my artwork to stand out, communicate to viewers, and evoke warm and positive responses. Creating my art, I am putting a footprint on this planet and portraying it in a beautiful and positive way.
It has been a joy to discover my latent ability to paint!
My other lifetime passion is playing golf.
